ViaLem is designed to be helpful and trustworthy. This page summarises how we handle data, how we use AI at a high level, and what we do to protect your information.

Data handling (high level)

What you provide: questionnaire answers, optional CV/resume uploads, and messages to support.
What we generate: your report outputs and related materials depending on your tier.
Why we process it: to provide the Service, maintain security, support users, and improve reliability.

Uploads are processed to extract text and then deleted. We keep only the extracted text needed to generate your report. Furthermore, we maintain a short-lived troubleshooting snapshot of the latest submission to help resolve support issues; it is overwritten on the next submission.

AI use (high level)

We may use AI-assisted processing to help turn your inputs into structured outputs. AI is used as a tool to generate text and structure,
and the Service is designed to provide multiple options rather than a single “perfect answer”.

Inputs: the information you provide (and optional uploads).
Outputs: recommendations and plans intended to be practical and actionable.
Limitations: outputs may contain errors or assumptions; you should review and use your judgment.

We do not publish our internal approach, scoring, or proprietary processes. We focus on giving you a useful outcome: credible options plus a plan to move forward.

Security measures

Encryption in transit: we use secure connections (TLS) when data is sent between your browser and our servers.
Access control: access to systems and user data is restricted to authorised personnel/systems.
Least privilege: we aim to limit access to what is needed to operate and support the Service.
Monitoring: we monitor for abuse and security issues and apply updates/patches as needed.

Retention & deletion

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes described in our policies and to meet legal obligations.
You can request deletion of your data by contacting us and verifying ownership.
